My name is Marlies and I was born in Switzerland. I currently live in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. I am a mother of 3 and have been interested in creative arts for as long as I can remember.
My world opened up when I was introduced to computers. Now I finally was able to become an artist, because I can produce exactly what I always could visualize in my mind’s eye, but the output never matched it.
It started with Adobe’s Photo Deluxe that came with my first scanner a UMAX Vista S6E. Then I discovered Paint Shop Pro, and found it easier to use. Microsoft’s Front Page 97 had the Image Composer included and now I found an even easier program to use that offered me even more possibilities to play around with. Then over Christmas in 2007 I gave Photoshop another go and to my big surprise, I finally got the hang of it and have not looked back.
